What children learn in grammar & writing in Grade 2
In Grade 2 (typically ages 7–8; equivalent to Year 2 (Australia), Year 3 (England), Class 2), grammar & writing work usually focuses on adjectives, past tense, plurals, commas in a series and short narrative writing. The exact order differs from school to school and country to country, so treat this as a guide rather than a checklist.
Below you will find every Grade 2 grammar & writing worksheet on the site, grouped by topic. Each has three printable sheets and a full answer key. For a quick review pick a topic your child already knows; for new learning, start with the first sheet in a topic and move on once the answers come easily.
