What to watch for when you grade this sheet
- Choosing the noun that names the action rather than the verb itself.
- Missing verbs that are not visible actions, like seemed or became.
- Picking only one word when the verb has a helper, like had finished.
One thing that helps
Change the sentence to yesterday. The word that has to change form is the verb, and that test works even when the meaning gives no clue.
