Narrative Writing
Narrative writing tells a story, real or imagined. Good stories have a character, a setting, a problem and a solution, told in an order that makes sense. Planning first (who, where, what goes wrong, how it ends) makes the writing much easier.
Writing checklist
- Does my writing have a clear beginning, middle and end?
- Did I begin every sentence with a capital letter and end it with the right punctuation?
- Did I use interesting, specific words?
- Did I read it aloud and fix anything that sounded wrong?
