Editorial Policy
How we write, check and update the worksheets, books and articles on this site.
Original work
Every passage, story, poem, vocabulary definition, lesson explanation and article is written specifically for this site. We do not copy text from textbooks, other worksheet sites or published workbooks, and we do not reproduce copyrighted characters or brand names. Where a classic story or fable is retold, the retelling is in our own words and the original is in the public domain.
Accuracy checks
Arithmetic answer keys are generated by the same code that creates the questions and then re-computed by a second, independent routine during every build; if the two disagree, the page is not published. Reading worksheets are written so that each answer can be found or inferred from the passage alone, and every question has exactly one best answer in the key. Spelling and vocabulary lists are checked against standard dictionaries.
Age-appropriate content
Topics, vocabulary and sentence length are matched to the grade level shown on each page. We avoid frightening themes, commercial products and advertising inside worksheet content. Pages carry no sign-up forms and no data collection from children.
Neutral, global examples
We choose names, foods, places, units and currencies from a wide range of cultures. Where spelling or terminology differs between countries (for example colour/color or Year 3/Grade 3), we say so rather than silently choosing one.
Advice articles
Blog articles about learning draw on well-established findings in early-years education and on classroom practice. They are general information for parents and teachers, not medical, psychological or legal advice. If you are worried that a child may have a learning difficulty, speak to their teacher, school or a qualified professional.
Corrections and updates
If you spot an error, contact us. Corrections are made as soon as they are confirmed, and each article shows the date it was last reviewed.
Advertising
The site is supported by advertising. Ads are kept separate from the educational content and never mixed into worksheets, answer keys or downloadable PDFs.
