Dividing Decimals Worksheets
Dividing a decimal by a whole number is long division with the point carried straight up. Dividing by a decimal needs an extra move first — shift both numbers until the divisor is whole. These sheets cover the first case, which must be secure before the second makes sense.

What to watch for when you grade this sheet
- Omitting the decimal point from the quotient.
- Placing the point after dividing rather than carrying it up at the start.
- Stopping at the remainder instead of adding a zero and continuing.
One thing that helps
Put the decimal point in the quotient before dividing anything. Done first, it cannot be forgotten later.
