Number Tracing Worksheets 0-9
Number formation gets far less practice than letter formation and then becomes invisible — a child who forms 5 awkwardly will be slow at column arithmetic for years without anyone connecting the two.

What to watch for when you grade this sheet
- Reversing 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 or 9 — all of them face one way only.
- Writing 4 as a closed triangle, which makes it hard to tell from 9.
- Starting 8 at the bottom, which makes it slow and usually uneven.
One thing that helps
Watch the pen on 5 and 8 specifically. Both are commonly drawn as two separate shapes rather than one stroke, and both get slow in long sums as a result.
