What to watch for when you grade this sheet
- Reversing h with n and b, the pair it is genuinely confused with at this age.
- Starting the letter at the wrong point, which produces a shape that looks right but cannot be written at speed.
- Floating above the baseline, or sitting the letter on the dotted midline instead of the solid line.
One thing that helps
h is n with a tall stick. If the stick is short it reads as n, which is the most common h error.
