About this skill
Each triangle gives two multiplications and two divisions. This is the single best way to learn division facts.
How to teach it
- Link every division fact to its multiplication fact family.
- Use counters to share objects equally before using symbols.
- Check by multiplying the answer by the divisor.
Mistakes to watch for
- Mixing up the dividend and divisor (6 ÷ 12 instead of 12 ÷ 6).
- Forgetting the remainder or writing it larger than the divisor.
