Cursive Letter W Worksheets
Cursive w: two points, both touching the baseline, exit high. Every letter on this sheet starts and ends on the baseline, which is what lets it join to the letters either side. A cursive letter formed correctly in isolation but entered from the wrong place will not connect, and that shows up later as unreadable writing.

What is on this sheet (3 rows)
- 1. Capital W
- 2. Lowercase w
- 3. W and w together
What to watch for when you grade this sheet
- Confusing cursive w with v and m — the same pair that causes trouble in print, made harder by the joining strokes.
- Entering the letter from the top rather than sweeping up from the baseline, so it cannot be joined.
- Printing the letter and adding entry and exit strokes afterwards.
One thing that helps
Both points must reach the baseline. A w floating above the line is the most common fault.
