Cursive Letter I Worksheets
Cursive i: undercurve up, down, dot last. Every letter on this sheet starts and ends on the baseline, which is what lets it join to the letters either side. A cursive letter formed correctly in isolation but entered from the wrong place will not connect, and that shows up later as unreadable writing.

What to watch for when you grade this sheet
- Confusing cursive i with l and j — the same pair that causes trouble in print, made harder by the joining strokes.
- Entering the letter from the top rather than sweeping up from the baseline, so it cannot be joined.
- Printing the letter and adding entry and exit strokes afterwards.
One thing that helps
The dot goes on last, after the whole word. Dotting mid-word is how children lose their place.
